The 2008 Herald Sun Tour: Stage 6 Melbourne Criterium, 66km
18 October 2008 / a photodiary by Melvin Choo

It was a blistering hot day (kind of reminds me of Kepala Batas during the Tour de Langkawi..) and here I find myself prowling the finishing line of the 2008 Herald Sun Tour - Stage 6 which was a criterium in Melbourne lasting 66km. This year's race will probably be remembered as one dominated by CSC-Saxo Bank (Stuart O'Grady finished tops) and of course, the very final race of Bradley McGee, who will now become a sports director with the same team.

Enjoy the photos:

The start/finish line.

Here you can see Bradly McGee in front of race leader Stuart O'Grady (in yellow/blue jersey).

The early breakaway group of three, which included Daryl Impey (Barloworld), Chris Jongewaard (Panasonic) and David Kemp (Virgin Blue Australia).

The three-men break forges ahead.

Daryl Impey (RSA) Barloworld leads Chris Jongeward (Aus) Panasonic in the two-up sprint.

Anti-doping - a must-have feature :3P

And now for some Bianchis:

And also the car that carries the Bianchis :3P

A new Mercedes C-Class estate - now wouldn't that be nice to have as your team car? ...

Here I take a photo opportunity with Phil Anderson. We met at the Tour de Langkawi 10 years ago!
